Among Us: VR version announced for PlayStation VR

“Between Us” gets an adaptation to virtual reality. VR version created for Meta Quest, PlayStation VR, and SteamVR. Schell Games is responsible for the development.

Trailer, but no date

A release date for “Between VR” has not yet been announced. But at least you can watch a trailer. It was released during the Game Awards 2021 and can be viewed below these lines. The trailer shows a player interacting with a keyboard in an anime-like 3D room before being attacked by a crew member who is (presumably) a sinister crook.

The VR version of “Between Us” is a 3D first-person experience rather than the usual 2D experience in the third person. At the same time, the “basic mechanics” of the original multiplayer game by developer Innersloth should be preserved.

The new 3D experience puts you and the suspicious space pills at the heart of Skeld, where the focus on teamwork and betrayal comes once again. The VR edition will also support multiplayer mode, so that you can immerse yourself in virtual reality together. However, virtual reality players remain among themselves. The new version is not compatible with the original versions.
