Teaching biodiversity through virtual reality
Biodiversity is best known by a few emblematic species such as jaguars, tapirs, tarantulas or snakes. “Little monsters” and mushrooms in our forests are less known! In fact, these highly diverse groups are hard to notice due to their small size or the difficulty of accessing their living environment.
From this observation was born the e-Breve project, for education in biodiversity through virtual reality, funded by LabEx CEBA.
Next Friday, May 20 at 12:30 p.m., Frédéric Petit Clerc will explain how researchers from UMR EcoFoG in Kourou are recreating 1 square meter of forest floor, at the scale of an ant, for a visit.
To listen and discuss with researcher CNRS-UMR EcoFoG, go to the page FB or string Youtube.
