Roller Champions: How to play with friends and crossplay

Roller Champions features five different game modes, online ranked matches, cross-play, and even cross-progression. This means that if you use different platforms, you can compete for special prizes, but playing with friends is not available for cross-play yet – you can only play with random players at this time.

The guide will provide tips on how to play with friends and cross-play in Roller Champions. Since it is not possible to invite friends to play across platforms at this point, you will need to stay on the same platform to invite your Ubisoft Connect friends to the game.

How to play with friends in Roller Champions

Usually, those who wish to play matches online with others can form a team of five players chosen at random by the game. But when special limited-time events arrive, the group numbers may vary depending on the specific game mode. In addition, arena-based matches cannot have more than three players per team, as only two teams can participate.

You can invite up to two friends who use the Ubisoft Connect service and are on the same platform as if you wanted to play with friends in any of the selected online game modes.

You can invite friends by following these steps:

Go to the main menu of the game.

Select the “Invite” function.

Select the friend you want to invite from the list.

Confirm by clicking “Invite”.

Once you start one of the online game modes, your friends will be added automatically.

How to cross play in Roller Champions

Crossplay for Xbox users

Since crossplay is disabled by default on all platforms, you have to enable it manually if you want to play with users from other platforms. Here’s what you need to do:

Go to the Xbox Home screen.

Go to the “Settings” menu.

Select the “General” tab.

Select the “Internet and Family Safety” option.

Go to the “Online privacy and security” menu.

Select the “Xbox Privacy” option.

Go to the “View details and personalization” tab.

Select the “Contact and Multiplayer” feature.

Choose “Allow” under the “You can join the game on multiple networks” category.

If you want to disable the cross-play feature after a while, you can just choose “Block” in the last step.

Cross-play for PlayStation users

Similarly, you have to manually enable the crossplay feature on the PlayStation console. Follow these steps:

Start the roller champion.

Go to “Settings” by selecting your profile icon in the upper right corner.

Select the “Play” function.

Set it to “ON” in the “Enable Crossplay” section.

If you need to disable the cross-play feature, just choose “Off” in the last step.
