In cooperation with FlowGen, a company specializing in green energy systems, Munich Airport is conducting a test using a mobile container that generates electricity generated by solar panels and wind turbines. The airport will use this container to recharge all of its runway equipment and vehicles with power. On a sunny, windy day, the container can produce a total of 200 kilowatt-hours of energy, enough to power four to six vehicles. The test will last for one year.
Container is easily assembled and disassembled
The unique system combines a small wind turbine developed by FlowGen with solar and battery storage technologies and can be customized with intelligent energy management software. The FlowGen enclosure solution can be installed in a short time and can be easily disassembled and reassembled in new locations. In addition to its use at airports and for charging electric cars, it offers a wide range of applications in areas such as agriculture, construction and manufacturing.
