Savage Levels and Microids have announced the official release date for their role-playing game Flint: Treasure of Oblivion – releasing on October 24 for Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC. The announcement was accompanied by a stunning trailer showcasing Captain Flint and his crew’s mission and the game’s distinctive comic book-inspired art style. Gamescom attendees will have the chance to see the game for themselves at the Microids/Astragon Entertainment booth.
Here's what we know
In Flint: Treasure of Oblivion, players will join Captain Flint, his first mate Billy Bones, and their team of sea dogs in search of a legendary treasure that promises freedom and wealth. The game features an original story told in a comic book, immersing players in a pirate adventure that is both true to history and tinged with fantasy.
In addition to its unique story, Flint: Treasure of Oblivion offers strategic depth through its turn-based combat system. This system draws inspiration from role-playing and board game mechanics, including the use of dice rolls to add a level of unpredictability. Players can build a team with different skills, allowing them to adapt their tactics to their playstyle. During tactical phases, skill and attribute cards can be used to improve team members’ abilities and gain an advantage in combat.
