In order to bring life back to rural communities, Chaumont Agglomeration has partnered with the 1000 Cafés association to offer “Mobile Guinguette” evenings. On Sunday 25 August, more than 300 people took part in the festival held in Lozy-sur-Marne.
The “Guinguette mobile” event is back. After having to postpone the Ryokurt event scheduled for August 24th, Due to a technical problem, it stopped in the village of Lozy-sur-Marne on Sunday, August 25. This summer meeting, organized by the Chaumont group, the municipality and the 1000 Cafés association, aims to revive municipalities that lack shops and meeting places. It took place this evening on the banks of the Marne. Given the number of participants, this moment of coexistence delighted the inhabitants of the city and beyond.
More than 300 people took part in the festivities. The folk/country music group The Nameless, created in 2022, hosted the two-hour event. While listening to the concert, the Luzéens, as well as the Verbieslois and Foulinois bands, tasted the fries and grilled meats of the Luzy Verbiesles Foulain sports association. They were also able to taste homemade sweets from the Renaissance foyer of Luzy.

Mayor Majali Jenny is very happy with this “mobile gigette”. “This event was proposed by the Shomo gathering of all the small towns in the area. Initially, we were supposed to host this event in 2025. We saw that no buyer had been found yet. We decided to embark on the adventure early. We do not regret this decision. The only unknown is time. And the townspeople responded. Friendliness and sunshine await you. We are not against hosting the “mobile gigette” next year. »
What did the participants think? “It’s a good initiative that brings people together in a relaxed and friendly context. It brings excitement to small towns. “In these kinds of meetings, we meet and talk to people we don’t know or to neighbors we normally pass by,” explains Claude. Residents Volan, Vincent and Coraline came to Guinguette’s mobile with two friends. “It’s a very friendly moment. The musical group isn’t bad. We didn’t think there would be so many people. This is the kind of event Volan misses.”
During the concert, Amandine and Sarah, from the Bad Seed association, appealed to the audience for donations: “Because of the weather phenomenon, we had to cancel our concert. festival. Which leads to financial difficulties. We have invested 10,000 euros. Our association is in danger of extinction without support.”
