Game News Cyberpunk 2077: A new update is available and it makes CD Projekt's video game even more beautiful
Six months after patch 2.12, update 2.13 has been released for Cyberpunk 2077 and its expansion Phantom Liberty. It brings support for a new technology, for the PC versions only, that promises better smoothness and image quality.
AMD Fidelity FX Supersolution 3 Support for Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077’s time for big updates is long gone, as evidenced by the game’s 2.13 update, which was released on September 12 and adds a handful of tweaks. However, it’s been nearly seven months since the 2.12 update was released. Seven months for the team to add support for AMD FidelityFX Supersolution 3, an AI-based technology that’s supposed to improve smoothness by generating higher-quality visuals.
Patch 2.13 for #Cyberpunk2077 and #PhantomLiberty is live! Includes support for AMD FidelityFX Supersolution 3 with framerate generation.
Although this update is only for the PC versions of Cyberpunk 2077, it shouldn’t prevent cross-progression from working properly, so there’s no need to panic for those who want to switch their Night City adventures between PC and console.
Is this the end of Cyberpunk 2077 finally?
If you now have to wait longer for Cyberpunk 2077 updates, that's perfectly normal. CD Projekt, the studio behind the game, is now moving on to its future projects. We know, for example, that there are no longer (or at least there are supposed to be no) developers involved in Cyberpunk 2077. The teams have been moved to Polaris, the new video game set in the world of The Witcher. This mobilizes the bulk of the studio’s resources, with more than 400 people out of 630 involved.
The rest are working, in equal proportions, on other CD Projekt projects. 56 people are working on Project Orion, a title set in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe. 39 people are working on Project Sirius, which is supposed to be a multiplayer The Witcher game developed by The Molasses Flood. Finally, there is a committee of 20 people working on Project Urban: a completely new license created by the Polish studio.
