Despite the significantly lower resolution, Performance mode struggles to maintain 60 fps The adventure is stable throughout, with fluctuations even in the 40 fps range, if not less, depending on the area, and even VRR can't be effectively reduced. Considering framerate instability and the impact on visual image, Digital Foundry recommends Quality mode on PS5.
