Saint-Jacques-de-la-Lande. Seniors discover virtual reality

By skydiving, I will be able to explain to my grandchildren how I felt. Removing her VR headset, this grandmother is still very impressed by the video launch, which was presented at the digital workshop on Tuesday. It was magical, even better than it was at the movies.

The Center for Municipal Social Action (CCAS), in partnership with the Little Brothers of the Poor of Rennes, organized this awareness campaign on virtual reality tools for the elderly.

Hot air balloon flights, skydiving, paragliding, but also tourist trips to Brihat Island and to Morocco, explains Roisin Pauline, a social advisor at CCAS. Participants were amazed to discover the amazing possibilities of virtual images. These extraordinary experiences were all wonderful adventures in uncharted territories.

In addition to this immersion in the virtual world, the aim was also to break the isolation of some elderly people with the help of the relational world. The workshop was open to people at the invitation of the younger brothers.

About twenty people participated in this half-day, also led by Italian volunteers, under the auspices of Europe.
