Convicted neo-Nazis are in detention after attacking taxi drivers

It was just before 1 a.m. when a taxi driver in West Dortmund was badly beaten. The man of Iranian descent was hit with a glass bottle on the head. When he was on the ground, he was kicked.

This should have been preceded by racist insults by two bystanders, apparently by chance. When the 55-year-old approached strangers on Limbecker Strasse in Lütgendortmund, they attacked him on early March 21 (Sunday). The victim was taken to the hospital.

After the SLC investigation, the Public Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday, March 31st, ordered the arrest of a suspect after suffering serious bodily harm. Detectives’ work led to the arrival of a 33-year-old from Dortmund on the local far-right scene.

Clothes and cell phones are insured

It is said that when his apartment was searched, evidence was found. Attorney General Sonya Freuderman explains that clothes and a mobile phone are now being examined. The effects of the verb can be found on the clothes. The cell phone is searched for clues about the other parties involved.

The man with the criminal record was brought before a judge on Wednesday (March 31). The 33-year-old has been detained since the decision.
