CD Projekt Red announces big changes after the cyberpunk disaster ›Dr. Windows

Something happened in Polish publisher CD Projekt Red, which attracted attention with many negative headlines with the publication of Cyberpunk 2077, mainly due to the many problems with the Last Gen Xbox One and Playstation 4. consoles. After gradually coming to grips with the consequences of the hack and the most important and biggest correction of Cyberpunk 2077 So far, version 1.2, officials have now announced major changes.

One of the most important changes is the parallel development of several IP addresses, so in addition to Cyberpunk 2077, other innovations for the Witcher franchise also need to be worked on. Development should become more flexible and online experiences play a bigger role as well as focus on classic single player. Overall, the focus on AAA role-playing games is on becoming a multi-genre approach with a matching core, and the company’s franchises must evolve from a focus on actual AAA games to an ecosystem with branches and mobile activities beyond gaming.

For 2021, this means Cyberpunk will follow as planned in 2077 along with more corrections and updates, as well as an expected next-generation update. DLCs are also planned free for all users. In addition to the further development of GWENT, The Witcher will also focus on the augmented reality game The Witcher: Monster Slayer. Additionally, The Witcher 3 should also get the expected next-generation update.

How CD Projekt Red envisions the parallel development of several AAA-IP addresses, which should start in 2022 at the latest, for Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher, you can see below in two additional drawings. I have also linked the video to the corresponding presentation below for you. It is unclear if CD Projekt Red will also make changes to its own online marketplace GOG in the long term in addition to its own franchises.
