A digital guide inside our walls

As part of a national plan to fight the digital divide, the municipality has hired Jeremy Brannan.

Originally from Aiguillon, Jérémie Branens studied at school, college, and high school in his hometown. The studies in which he finished the Literary Baccalaureate, the option “Art History”. He will complete his career in Bordeaux by studying Graphic Design and Visual Communication. Starting his career in Bordeaux as a graphic designer, he became interested in the world of digital communication and culture.

Motivated by the cultural project of Prayssas, he responds to the offer of the municipality wishing to integrate a “digital advisor” into the team, a state-supported function that complements the new media library project.

Jeremy Brannen’s Missions

Its first mission, once the new media library opens in April, will be to set up digital courses for people who don’t have computer skills or want to improve their skills. It will offer group or individual lessons that will allow you to acquire basic digital concepts. He can also assist with some administrative procedures.

His second task is to ensure the movement of the media library as well as to plan and organize the various activities. With different rooms and equipment, the media library will offer a wide range of entertainment. The associations, youth, school and residents of Braísas will have a lively and dynamic cultural center at their disposal.

Jérémie Branens will be tasked with organizing a calendar of media library activities, carrying out exhibitions, conferences, presentations, readings, etc. In this context he will be responsible for the development of the “Micro-Folie” project in collaboration with the Institut du parc de la Villette with the support of Drac (Regional Directorate for Cultural Action).

The first exhibition by sculptor Sarah Masso will take place in May at the Media Library. Regular temporary exhibitions and “Mico-Folie” events will be held in the exhibition hall. VR headsets equip your media library allowing you to 3D view (and visit) cultural venues and museums around the world. Priceas Village, the Music Village, complements its cultural entertainment offering with the opening of this media library and the arrival of this specialist. A village where life is good!
