The prefecture issued its decision on Wednesday, October 9, regarding the registration of Trabet for the temporary operation of a mobile coating plant, classified as an environmental protection facility (ICPE), at the Deven site in the town of Lamanon. This production license is valid until December 31 for regional registration until April 30, 2025.
As for the environmental impact, the province clarified that this project does not lead to any disruption of the chiroptera or bat corridor, and that there are no roosts on the site or in the immediate surroundings. It also specifies that the production season makes it possible to reduce any direct or indirect impact on animals and plants.
This decree, dated October 8, comes after a public consultation closed on September 26, an unfavorable opinion from the municipal council and a referendum of municipal residents who also opposed this project by 94%.
A controversial decision despite concerns
We also remember the first public meeting at the beginning of August, and then the second meeting led by Trabet and Vinci Autoroute on September 25, during which local residents did not fail to express their concerns regarding noise and olfactory pollution, air, soil and water pollution in the adjacent canal, but also at risk of explosion , as happened in 2010, or fire.
