Already improving Anderlecht's game? Here's what David Hubert can offer – All Football

David Hubert may not revolutionise Anderlecht, but he must make clear choices for the upcoming matches. The U18 coach also knows a lot about what to expect from his team.

David Hubert Not born of the last rain. Also used Jan Vertonghen as an advisor. Hubert, who has two international caps, has already played alongside the Red Devils' record goalscorer. In addition to his staff, he knows that Vertonghen is the best at knowing what's going on in the dressing room.

Moreover, he has previously played with players like Struykens, Angulo and Leoni. He knows how to use them, because with Hubert on the pitch, Futures had their best season in the Challenger Pro League.

Hubert will, however, rely on a strong organisation. “You probably still know me from my playing days. These principles are also the basis of my philosophy as a coach,” said Hubert, who was previously a defensive midfielder. The aim is to start the game from this organisation, not to constantly throw the ball forward.

I want to be in control and put pressure on the ball carriers.

“I want to be dominant and put pressure on the ball carrier,” he continued. “Also, I want the players to enjoy having the ball and finding the right people in the right places. Creating chances and scoring a lot of goals. It may sound cliché and generic, but that’s how I envision it.”

There doesn't seem to be a new coach coming anytime soon. So Hubert will have to take some pressure. “The management has known me for three years,” he joked. “They know what I'm worth. I've accepted this challenge with open arms.”

However, Hubert will have to do without Augustinsson (concussion) and Dreyer (knee) against Charleroi. But Luis Vazquez will be back. “He participated in all the practices,” said Hubert. Ashimeru also has a good chance of being a starter.
