Arabellapark · On Friday, July 30 between 8.55 am and 9.20 am, an attempted theft occurred in the Arabellapark area. Around 8:55 a.m., a 40-year-old woman was at the Cozimabad tram stop, waiting for the tram. There, a previously unknown man approached her and asked for her mobile phone to make a call. The 40-year-old said no.

Then the stranger tried to snatch the cell phone from her hand. The 40-year-old protested vigorously for her mobile phone to be removed and fell to the ground after a short altercation. The tram driver came to the aid of the Munich woman, and the unknown suspect fled in the direction of Arabellapark. The 40-year-old sustained minor injuries as a result of the controversy.

Shortly thereafter, at about 9 a.m., a 64-year-old man from Munich was walking along the Englschalkinger Strasse/Ronkavalierplatz building complex, holding his mobile phone in his left hand to make a call. A previously unknown man approached from behind and snatched the mobile phone from his hand.

Then the stranger fled in the direction of Englschalkinger Strasse. It can be seen how the fugitive jumped over a barrier and fell. He then fled to Englschalkinger Strasse towards Effnerstrasse. The 64-year-old reported the doctor’s office and the police.

Because of the general complexity and descriptions available to date, it can be assumed that the perpetrators are the same in both cases. There was damage to a prize of several hundred euros.
