Argelès-sur-Mer: Set fire to 10 cars and 4 mobile homes in 2 hours and 3 years in prison

The gendarmerie had arrested the man after several fires broke out that on March 23 caused significant material damage in Argelès-sur-Mer.

On March 23, between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m., frequent fires broke out in Argeles-sur-Mer, with about thirty firefighters mobilized throughout the evening. The outposts, of criminal origin, burned ten cars and set a mobile home on fire, and the fire spread to three other vacation homes, in various streets and campgrounds in the town.

A 34-year-old homeless man living in Ellen, who denied the facts while in police custody before confessing during his presentation before judges.

The accused was already known with similar facts, he was finally tried on Thursday 22 July before the Perpignan Criminal Court who kept his eyesight due to his mental disorders and sentenced him to three years in prison with continued detention.
