The group “Ae Ae Ae” dares to look to the future on Wednesday at the Kulturhaus in Vogelgrun.
(BZ). On the evening of Wednesday, November 24, the group “Ae Ae Ae” from the French city of Reims will present their work “Ersatz” at the Art’Rhena Cultural Center on the Rhine Island. The show starts at 8pm, requires no words and is suitable for viewers 12 and over.
According to Art’Rhena, “Ae Ae Ae” presents a projection of tomorrow’s humans: “As a vision of a potential monster, as an absurd consequence of human-machine chemistry, this single piece may seem shaky as the remnants of a technological revolution not yet fully afloat”, states in Press release. As a wordless piece with a vision of a mysterious future, the show explores virtual reality by playing with objects. Between a fun show and an unsettling farce, Julian Milano invites the audience on a hunt for the hilarious and mysterious treasure, Art’Rhena continues. Far from a well-structured discourse about the future, “Ersatz” wanders into a bleak world in which the future is already present. “The absurd and the miracle meet here, and so the audience can get carried away – in a whirlpool of questions about our humanity.”
After Wednesday’s performance, the Kulturhaus invites you to a bilingual discussion. During the aperitif, the topic “New technologies: enslavement or liberation?” The whole thing can be discussed in a social atmosphere. Admission costs between 10 and 15 euros.
