During these winter school holidays, the Gantner multimedia space in Bourogne vibrates to the beat of video games. Indeed, since Tuesday, February 16, the structure has been allowing the public to discover six video game creations for free at its headquarters on Rue de la Varonne. Five computers and a Nintendo Switch console are available to visitors to allow them to test these games when the venue is open (2pm-6pm Tuesday through Saturday).
This event has been organized for several years in the territory of Bourignaise and is part of a partnership with Strasbourg European Fantastic Film Festival (The last version was released from September 10 to 19.) Especially with the section dedicated to video games and virtual reality of this festival, which is organizing a competition that brings together independent video game creations. Among these creations, the six video games are accessible during these holidays within the multimedia space.
Enhance new gaming experiences
“These games are chosen according to my prayers, but also according to the audience we receive, so that they are as accessible as possible,” explains Joël M’Bajoumbé, who is in charge of multimedia reception at Gantner space. He continues: “The goal is to promote new gaming experiences, and different ways to play. And also to highlight the small studios that develop video games.”
Available to all due to the multiplicity of styles on offer, these six games, obtained from the space in amounts from 10 to 25 euros, attracted mainly teenagers during the first week of vacation. Including some members of the teenage club Delle. To see if the older audience, clearly invited, will respond for the second week. And for those who miss the event this year, they will finally be able to catch it next year. “As long as the Strasbourg Festival exists, we will present this event,” stated Joël M’Bajoumbé.
