Take control of the strength map EvaluationAnd the last agent who joined the list has a lot of them. Astra is a cosmic wheel from Ghana, carrying with it a load of utilities and the shape of a powerful star that allows it to split its capabilities wherever it sees fit.
It’s too early to tell how prominent Astra will be, but it’s hard to see why Non I want her on your team with skills like these:
A: Gravity is correct
Activate a star to form a gravity well. Players are pulled from the area to the center before they explode, leaving all players trapped inside fragile.
Q: New momentum
Activate a star to detonate Nova Pulse. Nova Pulse charges for a short time and then hits and hits all players in its area.
E: Nebula
Activate a star to turn it into a nebula (smoke).
F: Dissipated
Use (F) on a star to disperse it, and bring the star back to a new location after a delay. The dissipation briefly forms a false nebula at the star’s site before returning.
X: Star shape / cosmic division
Activate to enter a star shape where you can place stars with base fire. Stars can be reactivated later, converted into Nova Pulse, Nebula, or Gravity Well.
When the cosmic fracture charged, it used secondary star-shaped fire to fire its weapons, then a primary fire to locate two locations. The infinite cosmic divide connects the two points that define them. Cosmic Divide blocks lead and deeply softens sound.
All Astra’s abilities can only be activated by placing a star in its star form. Switching to the second shape allows Astra to move freely around the map and position the stars freely, even though its actual body is weak in the meantime. It can then release its own smoke, sink gravity, or stun any star (in or out of the star’s shape).
Symmetra fans from Overwatch will recognize Astra’s ultimate cosmic split. You can connect two points anywhere on the map to summon a barrier that covers the entire map. The barrier blocks bullets, eyesight and most importantly, sound.
Astra has a lot to offer which is why my intuition tells me that it will be very powerful. It’s a dangerous mix of Brimstone and Killjoy without the restrictions of proximity holding it back. Balanced or not, that would definitely be fun to play.
