Castlevania Resurrection was due to be released on Dreamcast. Unfortunately, he never saw the light. In fact, the game was canceled in 2000, mainly due to differences between the Japanese and American teams Konami, but also due to the end of Dreamcast. However, a prototype of the game would have appeared again!
The Resurrection of Castlevania Announced in 1999, it was to be the Dreamcast launch game. However, what was to be Castlevania XVII was delayed before it was canceled in March 2000. As of now, there has been no record of a prototype.
Only until April 5th. Indeed, in a YouTube video, we discover pictures of what it should have been The Resurrection of Castlevania. It relates to a GD-R version of the game on which we can read the date of 1999. So it would be possible that this prototype was the version that was introduced during E3 1999. In fact, the game made l a subject of special examination.
We are therefore pleased to discover that such a prototype exists. However, this is a beta version, as it only offers 5 environments and 1 boss battle. Additionally, many of the areas are not connected to each other, and it can only be accessed through the menu.
The Resurrection of Castlevania The focus was on Sonia Belmont, introducing the new character of Victor Belmont. The story should take us back to the past, as it was set to take place in 1666, before the adventure of Simon Belmont.
