Centenary of the Mobile Gendarmerie: an exhibition at the Château de Vincennes

You will see the police in Castle From Vincennes (Val de Marne). But do not panic: if the gendarmerie invests the place, it is on the occasion of a Exhibition who honors mobile policewhich celebrates its 100th anniversary this year.

This exhibition is organized by the National Gendarmerie Museum and the 2/1 assembly of the Mobile Gendarmerie Forces. It will be held until December 2, 2021.

On the site, the visitor will discover the tasks of the mobile gendarmerie through videos, photos, gendarmerie equipment and many symbolic objects. The exhibition is organized according to three axes: a specialized force to maintain order, a conflict-aligned participation, and a support force for the gendarmerie forces in the provinces.

The exhibition takes place on the second floor of the King’s Pavilion, in the Château de Vincennes. It should be noted that visitors will also be able to enjoy outdoor activities on Saturday 6, 20 and 27 November: “Vehicles will be displayed and mobile police music will provide atmospheric services. Specific materials will be presented to the public”, one of them explains to the Ministry of Interior.

The exhibition is free.

Centenary of the Mobile Gendarmerie, until December 2 at the Château de Vincennes. Animation is visible from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The gallery is open to the public on Mondays from 1 pm to 5 pm, Tuesday to Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm, Friday from 9 am to 4 pm.
