According to Leipzig’s criminal police findings, the stranger’s break-in must have taken place between Friday 7 PM and Monday 6 AM.
Early on Monday morning, the caregiver noticed that the dining room window was open. Through this, the thieves may have reached Meltzer Allie School, opening several doors and looting rooms.
They also did not stop in front of the computer cabinet on the second floor: that door was also broken, and many computers were lost.
The amount of damage was still unclear.
At the same time last weekend, according to Leipzig police, a daycare center in Lindenau was broken into.
Strangers got inside by opening the front door, opening them first and inspecting all the lockers in a room on the ground floor. From another room they stole a cash box with unknown cash.
Then they went upstairs, where they took two laptop computers, four cameras, and two cash boxes. They also stole a photo printer and its associated printer cartridges. Total damage is estimated at a low four-digit number.
In both incidents, the criminal investigation team initiated investigations into the serious theft case.
