Essonne: a week of workshops against the digital divide at Micro Folie d’Evry

Discover simple gestures like saving a photo or sending an email with the latest technology from Tuesday to Friday, April 8, 2022 Micro Mad Evry Corcoron (Eason) welcomes anyone with questions about digital.

Introduction to 3D printing, virtual reality and digital embroidery

For this first edition of this Digital Divide WeekReception agents, cultural mediators and youth employed by the civil service are offered by the municipality a full series of on-site workshops (see below) to familiarize themselves with the FabLab (Construction Lab) tools free of charge.

An opportunity to discover how the digital embroiderer and 3D printer make it possible to manufacture computer designed things.

It is also possible to completely immerse yourself in virtual reality thanks to a dedicated station that presents, in partnership with Arte channel, mini-documentaries using a VR headset.

Frequently asked questions are open to everyone

These four days are aimed above all at those who are not familiar with digital tools.

The Frequently Asked Questions are organized to help and answer questions from people who want to learn a procedure they are not proficient in, even if it seems obvious to the majority of citizens.

“Everyone is welcome to participate in a workshop or ask a question, no matter how simple,” we explain at the reception.

Workshop schedule

Tuesday, April 5th: 3D printing training at 3pm.
Wednesday, April 6: Discover VR at 10:30 am, 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm.
Thursday 7th April: Digital Embroidery Training from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, Exploration of Virtual Reality at 2:30 pm and FAQ from 5 pm to 7 pm.
Friday, April 8: 3D Printing Training at 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM.
Please note that it is not necessary to reserve your place in advance of these workshops.

A visit to the site will also be an opportunity to discover the Digital Museum, which, thanks to tablets, gives access to more than 1,000 high-quality digital works from 12 institutions and national museums.
