Extraordinary Workshops at Hangar Y: 3 virtual reality experiences centered around the works of Monet, Van Gogh and Gaudí

After the success of the “Recharger” and “L’Épopée du Hangar Y” experiences, Hangar Y announces a new program for the coming months that includes exceptional workshops. These three virtual reality journeys around Monet, Van Gogh and Gaudí can be discovered from November 1, 2024 to February 16, 2025.

At Hangar Y, visitors take an immersive virtual reality journey through the works of three great masters: Monet, Van Gogh, and Goudy. With a headset, you'll have the opportunity to discover these three key figures of the 19th and 20th centuries in a different way, while plunging straight into the heart of their creative process.

Titled Unusual workshopsthese virtual reality epics highlight the works and lives of artists in a one-of-a-kind sensory experience.

Claude Monet – obsession with water lilies

Through a dialogue between the painter and his great friend, the statesman Georges Clemenceau, the virtual reality experience takes the viewer on a journey through the seasons in the heart of the Garden of Giverny and its famous water lilies. This poetic exploration of Monet's works turns the artist's studio into a whirlwind of color.

Mr. Vincent

Virtual reality experience by Agnès Molia and Gordon. (Co-production with Lucid Realities, TSVP, Le musée d'Orsay and VIVE Arts / Distribution: Unframed set).

In Dr. Gachet's house in Auvers-sur-Oise, the viewer is guided by the voice of his daughter Marguerite, one of the last women whom Van Gogh painted. The experience explores Van Gogh's masterpieces from the perspective of colour, through a virtual journey through the painter's palette, leading to a better understanding of the artist's impasto technique.

Gaudi, Divine Studio

Virtual reality experience by Stefan Landowski and Gael Cabot. (GEDEON EXPERIENCES – SMALL CREATION – Co-production of NHK. In partnership with Junta Constructora Del Temple Expiatoire de la Sagrada Familia Foundation).

GAUDÍ, l'Atelier du Divin is a narrative, collective and mobile virtual reality experience, awarded at several international festivals. Visitors are invited to take an immersive, dream-like journey into the heart of the disappeared Catalan master's workshop, reproduced for the first time as close to historical reality as possible.
In the role of Gaudí's disciples, spectators discover the architect's extraordinary personality, his revolutionary working methods, his abundant world and inspirations, and discover his life's work: the Sagrada Familia.
