After debuting last week, it’s now official: Oqee’s interface for Freebox Pop arrives in your pocket.
Free TV with you everywhere. Today Xavier Niel Player is formalizing the launch of the mobile app available at iPad, iPhone but also Android smartphones. After smart TVs, the interface launched with Freebox Pop continues to expand into new media.
Freebox Delta and Pop subscribers can easily enjoy their favorite TV shows, anywhere, simply by downloading the app from the appropriate App Store, at no additional cost. Note for Apple users, the app is available on devices running iOS 11 and later.
Once downloaded, all you have to do is enter your free credentials on the app for Android users, for users in the Apple ecosystem, Free now allows you to save these IDs in the “TV Provider” list in iOS, to ensure easy and fast connection in all circumstances.
Most of the features on a Pop Player or Smart TV are available, with the ability to record in the cloud (up to 100 hours), start over or even manage the profile. You’ll also find a section dedicated to finding a specific program, whether it’s available in replays or live broadcasts, as well as resume playback, to resume the program from where it left off on any compatible medium.
Thus, subscribers will be able to enjoy more than 550 live TV channels on their mobile phones, including more than 220 listed channels, as well as replays. The TF1 and M6 restarts are still missing, due to the technical characteristics of the two channels, the operator explains. Similarly, video-on-demand services are not yet available on the mobile application.
Note, up to 5 simultaneous connections can be made, subject to channel licensing. During these holidays, subscribers will be able to follow their favorite programs when traveling in the EU, be careful not to burn your data. We’ll introduce you to this new app in detail in a dedicated test during the day.
