Gamedec im test – Gamers.at

Draw

Isometric drawing of Gamedec Mentionsed Boarding or Disco Elysium – Detailed, colorful and lively in many places. Both the real world of Warsaw in the 22nd century is fascinating, as is the representation of the different virtual worlds. Excellent character animation. The interaction with the different hotspots is also well represented – so in general there is not much to complain about with the graphics. When you start the game, you can even start your own version of DirectX 12.

sound

The background music, which adapts to the situation, is well done. There is no audio output, neither in English nor in German. It probably won’t come until a year later with the release of ‘The Final Cut’, as with Disco Elysium?

Processing

The English translation was done well but the German translation is a joke. Not a bad thing, the translated part is perfectly fine. However (as of today) large parts of the game have not yet been translated and appear in the original Polish version. In this form – completely inoperable. I suppose a full German translation will still be in the works, but at least it can’t go on like this.

Texts, no matter how good they are (in English), do not reach the literary level (or scope) Planscape: torment.

game design

Control with the controller is not officially supported (but it does), but the classic keyboard and mouse control works great. The game can be saved at any time.

Stimulus

Gamedec Not particularly long, you can easily complete the game within a good 10 hours. However, it has a high replay value, as the main mechanics of the game are countless storylines, which are impossible to explore in one game. This keeps the motivation high to try again and move forward completely differently this time.

conclusion

in a Gamedec You get a great crime story set in the world of cyberpunk and it is presented broken down into many smaller individual stories. Lots of long dialogues, but no random battles or decisions more reminiscent of a classic point and click adventure than a role-playing game, but the outcome of the conversations and thus the further course of action depends critically on your character, abilities and decisions you’ve made so far – this is just an RPG more than Being a classic adventure game. Anyone who loves secrets and the incredible amount of story ramifications that can result from your choices is with Gamedec Absolutely right. However, the German translation is not yet complete – here you have to wait or play the game in Polish or English!
