What are the changes to waste collection from 1?any October

It's from 1any October 2024, new collection methods will be implemented in municipalities. They arise from the level of service (in terms of collection of grey bins, bulky materials, glass and plant waste) chosen by each regional mayor for his municipality and approved by the Community Council at the end of 2023.

Depending on the level of service selected, changes are expected starting from 1any October,For example on:

  • Door-to-door collection days for household waste, packaging and recyclable paper;
  • Repeat collection of large items.
  • Glass collection methods.
  • Frequency of plant collection.

This reorganization of the groups meets the regulatory coordination obligations regarding the waste management pricing policy. It should allow for the optimization of collection means and better control of expenses in the context of the continuous increase in waste collection costs (+6% since 2022).
