Jordan Polignan. A laptop for every student.

For the third year in a row, the Occitanie region has decided to renew its commitment to young people by distributing 50,000 laptops to students entering the second and first year of the CAP program in public and private high schools. This initiative, part of the Carte Jeune Région system, aims to support students in their academic careers by facilitating their access to IT tools. Indeed, the digital divide remains a major issue, and the region wants to ensure that all students, regardless of their socio-economic background, can benefit from the resources needed to succeed.

On Monday at the Jordaan-Boulignan high school, Luchon gave away nearly 300 HP laptops with 128 GB of flash memory, free of charge, to second-year students. These high-performance computers are designed to support students throughout their studies, up to the baccalaureate and beyond, in their higher studies. The goal is clear: to allow each student to work in good conditions, access online educational resources and develop essential digital skills in today's world.

This initiative is not limited to simply distributing computers. It is part of the region’s wider desire to promote equal opportunities and prepare young people for the challenges of tomorrow. By providing high school students with modern tools, the Occitanie region also hopes to encourage innovation and creativity within schools. For their part, teachers will be able to integrate these new technologies into their teaching methods, making learning more interactive and engaging. In short, this action shows a strong commitment to education and the future of young people. With this initiative, the Occitanie region shows that it believes in the ability of students to thrive and succeed, provided they are provided with the necessary means. The laptops provided to students are more than just a tool; they represent an opportunity for each young person to project themselves into the future with confidence and ambition.
