Karcher SC 3 Upright Easyfix steam cleaner test: dirt goes away

The German company advertises a heating time of only 30 seconds. Promise kept! The SC 3 Upright Easyfix heats up in 24 seconds and its LED indicator turns green. To evaluate steam mop washing performance, we intentionally stained the laboratory floor with club soda, oil, carbon black, and lipstick the night before the test.

For spot cleaning, we set the Kärcher to maximum power. It removes oil in the round trip and soda in two parts. Carbon black is more complicated to remove. The broom removes all three stains instantly, but leaves streaks behind. The lipstick, on the other hand, is completely dull after eight rounds back and forth, without completely erasing. These offers are above our comparison average.

Finally, if this information is not taken into account in the final evaluation, we still determine the time of use with a full tank. Set to the highest intensity, the steam mop shoots out steam for 16 minutes and 44 seconds. When we lower the intensity to its lowest, Karcher becomes an ability champion: he cleans for 1 hour and 32 minutes, which is a record in our lab!
