LiLuo, the Chinese competitor, finished first in the world championships this weekend, also taking home a prize of $48,000. The final match, which resulted in his victory, saw the use of the 8 Bodyguard configuration, which was referred to as the “Exodia” configuration. This refers to the Exodia cards from Yu-Gi-Oh when the player can get five Exodia cards from the field they win the game automatically.
So Exodia combination is used to refer to team combinations that are almost unbeatable when achieved. 8 Bodyguard is an extremely rare to obtain, and it’s no surprise that they were able to help LiLuo achieve his victory.
We still don’t know much about Group 7, but what we do know, as revealed in Tweet From the TFT Twitter account, called Dragonlands. With that in mind, we can probably expect to see heroes like Shyvana and Aurelian Sol appear in the upcoming collection, along with characters with skins from the Dragonmancer, Dragon Slayer, Dragon Trainer, and Dragon Master lines.
Dragonlands will start with update 12.11, and will appear on the PBE starting May 24.
