Lot-et-Garonne: The mobile GP team will cost €747,000

On Friday morning, the elected officials of the Constituency Council reviewed the information report on the mobile pilot team project for general practitioners working in the department.

“You have to have the courage to imagine paths that do not exist,” Jean-Jacques Mirande called Friday morning, at a meeting of the county council, at the center of a discussion on medical desertification. To illustrate his observations, the elected representative of Agen 4 cites the success of the multi-municipal health center Le Passage-d’Agen / Estillac as an example, where, as a telling sign, 50% of patients are not from these two municipalities.
Just before Jean-Jacques Mirande’s intervention, Joel Hocollet presented, for the majority of the department, the mobile team project for paid general practitioners outside the health system. Pierre Cholet, for the opponent, described it as “ironing on a wooden leg”. His group “100% Lot-et-Garonne” simply does not believe in this.
This project remains one as long as Sophie Purdy does not get feedback from the Ministry of Health. The President has arrested Minister Olivier Veran so that the administration can experiment with forming this team. There is in fact no legal support allowing the administration to pay the salaries of GPs.

‘Nothing should be banned’

This team will have a mission to come to the support of liberal physicians who are struggling with stress. She said she would only provide counseling in places where it would be affected. You will not go home. “And if the ambulatory feels comfortable somewhere, he can settle there,” says Joël Hocquelet.
An indication that the medical situation is worrisome, and even worrisome in Lot-et-Garonne, no elected official has discussed budget projections. The hypothesis is low. It targets four doctors, a medical secretary and an administrative director. The provisional budget for the first year will be €747,000 (staff costs: €504,000; vehicle fleet: €209,000; procurement €34.000). The estimate is 11,689 works per year, and this comes to €292,225 in revenue (€25 per consultation). Since the government subsidy is not known, the ministry’s subsidy will therefore be 454,775 euros.
If a mobile team project has the audacity to exist, it does not answer two basic questions: What is the state doing? How to appoint doctors in Lot-et-Garonne? Joël Hocquelet asserts that “nothing should be prevented”.
Including no longer agree to doctors in unaffected areas?
