Thierry Colon, Mayor of Municipal Police, warns that the recycling center is free, and illegal deposits are the fine!
Thanks to a portable device of surveillance cameras scattered at various unfavorable points in the city, dishonest people, whether individuals or professionals, who come to dispose of their old furniture, rubble and other waste, will be caught red-handed and punished. A device certified by the public prosecutor and already showing its effects.
Photos will be shown on a daily basis by police officers who will be able to indisputably get acquainted with the warehouses and identify the vehicles, and then their owners.
Violators will be invited to confess their crimes by paying a fee that can range from 150 to 1,000 euros, which constitutes compensation to the municipality that assumes the collection and treatment of waste.
The police will be stubborn
Thierry Colon justifies: “This is too big a cost for the municipality to mobilize two agents. Every day, they take the deposit and take it to the waste reception center. There can be up to two full trucks per day! If the fee is refused, the offenders will be reported and prosecuted by the public prosecutor Who may decide more severe penalties including vehicle confiscation. The environment in which it will be applied, and there, the fines will be higher.”
One polluter warns of the value of two!
