4G mobile phone coverage in the region continues to improve. As part of the New Deal Mobile, a partnership agreement between mobile operators and the state, Cedric O, Secretary of State for Digital Transformation and Electronic Communications, signed a new ministerial decree in mid-April 2021 identifying 340 new sites, so far neither good nor bad. Covered in the mobile phone, as the operators Bouygues Télécoms, Free Mobile, Orange and SFR must provide 4G coverage within 24 months at the latest. Occitanie takes advantage of 70 new locations under this decree, or 21% of the locations in France. “These new sites that will be covered as a priority have been identified and prioritized by the regions within the framework of continuous cooperation between the local authorities and the state, depending on local project teams and the pillars of the local corner of the so-called targeted coverage system,” defines the regional governorate.
