Orange: Fault preventing network access in Europe (roaming)

The major outage affects people with an Orange or Sosh mobile plan located in a European country, unable to make calls, send or receive SMS/MMS or even browse the internet. This concerns different networks (3G, 4G, 5G).

Orange confirmed the power outage in message On social networks:

There is an incident currently disrupting Orange roaming services in some European countries. Orange teams are fully mobilized to restore services as soon as possible. Orange apologizes for the inconvenience caused.

The issue was noticed at 3:55 PM and is still present as of the time of publishing this article, although the operator has not mentioned returning to normal.

If you are traveling to a European country and have an Orange plan, you can't do anything in particular at the moment: no calls, no SMS/MMS, no internet. You will have to wait for the fix to be implemented. In the meantime, you can try to find a Wi-Fi network to access the internet.
