Swiss IT manufacturer Prime Computer has made a name for itself in this country with its compact mini PCs. Now the manufacturer from St. Gallen expands its portfolio to include a mini PC with an AMD Ryzen R1606G processor.
Depending on the hardware variant, PrimeMini Connect can be equipped with up to 32GB of RAM in dual-channel mode and two SSD drives. At the start of sales at the end of September, PrimeMini Connect will be available from Prime Computer distributors in optimized thin-client configurations with eight to 128 GB of memory and a maximum of 8 GB of RAM. Configurations with more RAM and SSD storage should be available upon request.
Despite the passive cooling, the new mini PC is very compact with dimensions of 17.7 cm x 5.5 cm x 11.4 cm. In addition, the computer offers two full-fledged DisplayPort connections, an HDMI connection, and dual LAN. PrimeMini Connect is also suitable as a thin client for digital signage and multi-screen applications.
Due to the robust structure, PrimeMini Connect is IP51 certified. This also opens up application possibilities in harsh environments such as thin or busy customers in the production facility or at outdoor metering stations.
According to Prime Computer, embedded computers are 100 percent climate neutral. Even greenhouse gas emissions in the first five years of operation are offset. In Germany, Prime Computer products are sold through distributors ADN, Boston, and IPC2U.
