Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra review: The tablet with all the superlatives

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra has two photo modules: a 13-megapixel sensor flanked by wide-angle lenses that open at f/2 and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle (f/2.2).

Main unit: 13 MP, f/2

Here, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Ultra brings a higher level of detail to the daytime shot taken by the Lenovo tablet. However, we see a tendency towards overexposure and more saturated colors than its Chinese rival. On the sidelines, it's the Lenovo model that suffers from a lack of sharpness.

At night, the Samsung tablet once again stands out with its combination of better clarity and color accuracy. The Tab S10 Ultra also delivers better exposed images, even if the whole thing remains a bit messy.

A tablet is generally not recommended for photography, especially ultra-wide-angle photography. In daylight, the South Korean camera outperforms its Chinese competitor, although there is slight blur and noticeable overexposure. Despite this, the shots remain readable, which is far from the case in low light with difficult-to-use images.

Front end and video modules

Since the release of the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra in 2022, Samsung has equipped the Ultra models with a dual photo module on the front. The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra continues this tradition with two 12-megapixel sensors, one with a wide-angle lens and the other with an ultra-wide angle.

Although selfies become a little smooth, the result remains correct and sufficient for video conferencing. The tablet is also capable of shooting in 4K at 30fps, both front and back. It is also possible to switch between units while shooting, increasing creative options.
