The Gy-en-Sologne relay station will not be repaired before 16 November. For 10 days, residents of this small town of Loir-et-Cher walked to the town hall to report a mobile network failure. The mayor, Frank Bellol, fears for his countrymen who find themselves isolated.
Three weeks to repair the relay antenna is not acceptable.
From the night of October 21 to 22, 2021, the night of the Aurora storm, the residents of J en Solonia marched to Town Hall to report network failures at SFR and Bouygues.
“People who come to see me are often very old people and find themselves isolated and unable to reach their loved ones in case of trouble.”, worries Frank Bellol, Mayor of GN Solonia.
The branch operated by SFR also accommodates the operator Bouygues. The land where the rue du stade relay station is located belongs to the TDF.
We feel completely abandoned.
The small town council member invited operators Bouygues and SFR as well as TDF. “The only response we got was that we have to wait until November 16th to fix the antenna. Waiting three weeks for a repair is unacceptable.”The mayor protests, angry.
Frank Biliol also contacted the Electronic Communications Regulatory Authority, ARCEP October 28.
” Again, we received no response. We have the impression that we have been abandoned. The worst part is there is no explanation as if it was normal. This situation is unacceptable.”, concludes the mayor of JN Solonia who hopes the media coverage will speed things up.
