Since its first launch, Google has claimed that Stadia can run features that are not possible on non-cloud platforms. One of those features, StateShare, is to be expanded by integrating directly with Stadia’s screen shot and video capture capabilities.
About APK Insight: In this ‘APK Insight’ post, we have tampered with the latest version of the app uploaded to the Google Play Store. When these files (in the case of Android applications, so-called APKs) are corrupted, lines of various codes can be found within that reference in future features. Keep in mind that Google may or may not send these features, and our explanation of what they are may be incomplete. We will try to run the ones closest to completion, however, and show them how they will be in terms of shipping. With that in mind, read on.
State role in screen shots
In Stadia today, you can use the official Stadia controller to take full-length screenshots and videos on the server page rather than capturing your stream, which will contain more compact artifacts. Currently, the only way to share those captures is to download them from Stadia’s web application, but a direct way to share them has been quiet for some time now.
In Stadia for Android version 2.42, we find that Google has found a way to connect to StateShare – a feature that allows you to navigate to a specific location in a Stadia game – directly for screen shots and videos captured by Stadia.

Games are quick to tell you how to use this capability, but using Creta – a Stadia exclusive way to create games and play games created by others, is currently the only game / application that supports state role – based on a screenshot of a particular game in Creta, such as Prep Hunt If you take the video, we imagine that someone who considers that capture later can use the state sharing link to go straight to Prop Hunt in Creta.

Third Party Control Setup Wizard
Now, in the Stadia app for Android, the control button in the upper-right corner is only for launching a new Stadia controller on your network or connecting to your phone. With Stadia 2.42, it seems that Google is preparing a comprehensive connectivity guide to easily run Stadia on Android with the Xbox or PlayStation controller.
In particular, Stadia has options for connecting the official “Xbox Wireless Controller” and Microsoft’s “Xbox Adaptive Controller” and Sony’s DualShock 4 via Bluetooth or USB.
Connect your Xbox wireless controller using Bluetooth or a compatible USB cable.
To use Bluetooth, activate the connectivity mode by pressing and holding the pair button for 3 seconds.
Connect your Xbox Adaptive Controller using Bluetooth or compatible USB-C cable.
To use Bluetooth, activate the connectivity mode by pressing and holding the pair button for 3 seconds.
Connect your DualShock 4 controller using Bluetooth or compatible micro-USB cable.
To use Bluetooth, enable connectivity mode by pressing and holding the PS and Share buttons simultaneously. The light bar on the back of the controller illuminates as soon as the pairing mode is active.
On your device, go to Bluetooth settings and enable Bluetooth. Scan new devices and select your controller.
Other controllers or games can work with Stadia by connecting via Bluetooth or USB. Contact your device manufacturer for gamepad compatibility.
Messaging (again)
For months, Google has been working on adding messaging capabilities to the Stadia app, including an on-board process to introduce players to sending messages. With Stadia 2.42, we see additional texts indicating that Google is even closer to introducing the feature.

Now you can quickly chat with your friends and other players about your next theatrical session and have fun on all your screens.
Anyone can send you messages, but you can choose whose messages you know.
Stadia Pro without payment method
As it stands today, to sign up for a free trial of Stadia Pro, you will need to provide Google with a credit card or other form of payment that will be charged upon completion of your trial if you do not choose to cancel. To help prospective players provide the ability to try out Stadia Pro without any commitment – which is very important because many people do not know if their connection to the game streaming is adequate – it seems that Google Stadia Pro could be a way to try out Pro without a credit card.
Throughout the application code, we find references to “fables” tests, which we consider to be short for “free of charge (FOP)” tests. In the text of the text below, it seems that these “nonsense” trials will allow Stadia Pro to enjoy a short period of time before asking to “add a later payment method” to unlock the remainder of the regular 30 day trial. Unfortunately, the text below takes a long time to complete, so we do not know how long these tests will last.
