Telex: Google launches Android 12L, a flaw in Azure, Mobile Eye on the way to IPO

– Android 12L launch. Google has officially released the version of its mobile operating system for tablets. Known as Android 12.1, it will currently only be available on Pixel terminals of the American company (3a / XL, 4 / XL, 4a, 4a 5G, 5, 5a). Note that my Pixel 6 and 6 Pro phones will benefit from this update soon. This version of Android provides bug fixes with battery, sound, bluetooth and camera. For the tablet segment, Google plans to roll out Android 12L to Lenovo, Samsung and Microsoft devices. Among the improvements that Google promised are improving the display of the home screen, lock screen, notifications, configuration screens, and settings. Android 12L now includes a taskbar at the bottom of the screen.

– Flaw in Azure. More precisely, the problem is with an automation service where an account can access another account on the same service. Azure Automation provides customers with the ability to automate many tasks including managing the cloud or updating Windows and Linux systems. The bug was discovered by Orca and allowed it to interact with an internal Azure server that manages sandboxes for other clients. Microsoft has been notified of the issue and has a system in place to mitigate the issue.

– Mobileye on the way to go public. Autonomous driving company Intel has filed for an initial public offering with the Securities and Exchange Commission. No information was leaked about the number of shares and the stock offered on the stock exchange. The Israeli company was founded in 1999 and acquired by Intel in 2017 for $15 billion. According to the American financial press, its current value is close to 50 billion dollars.
