Netflix’s “Bridgerton” is getting another two seasons. The Live Broadcast Service announced this Tuesday via SMS, Twitter. The series is one of the most successful series.
According to the broadcast service, it was watched by about 82 million households worldwide in the first month after publication. In almost all countries, the show reached the top ten – in 83 countries, it even reached first place. The second season is currently in progress.
Bridgerton is based on a series of novels of the same name, which have since become a bestseller, about life and dance in London’s high society in the early nineteenth century. The series is produced by Shonda Rhimes, who is known among other things as the creator of the hospital chain “Grey’s Anatomy”.
Actor Regé-Jean Page (31) is one of the most famous stars of the first season, who has already announced that he will not be a part of the following seasons – sparking numerous protests from fans. “I did not expect such an explosion, because in the series of novels there is a different love story in each book,” said Reims, producer of Vanity Fair. “We gave them their happy ending, and now the next couple will come.”
Reims said the page only had a one-season contract from the start. But she announced that he might be able to return for a while.
