Ranked 2nd in the category “Best App for Smartphones and Tablets”
A few months ago, “Sud Ouest” lifted the veil on Bergerac’s communication strategy to promote the area and in particular the work of Bergerac (Dordogne) City Council. It seems that this strategy is still paying off since the mobile app “Bergerac” won an award at the Communications Awards.
The twentieth edition of this competition, organized by the Wexcom Association, took place on Friday 26 November in La Grande-Motte (Hérault). It awarded around 163 awards (out of 515 applications) in 32 different categories. The Bergerac app was ranked second in the category “Best app for smartphones and tablets” Behind Yves Saint Laurent and in front of Bar Paris, Scania and Saint-Gobain.
The Bergerac app, which wants to “provide more personalized information to users and interact with town hall services”, already has nearly 5,000 users.
In 2018, Bergerac’s website has already won an award in the Communication Awards. In September, the Territories Social Media Observatory ranked Bergerac among the 10 best performing medium-sized cities on Instagram.
