Toronto, May 14 – Save the date! On June 1 and 2, TikTok is hosting an event for creators and advertisers in Toronto, Canada. The first “#For You Summit” will take place on the social network in the real world and online, with conferences on trends such as e-commerce, which is thriving on social networks.

“In just a few years, TikTok has become the heart of media, entertainment and culture around the world — and Canada is no exception. Canadians across the country are now turning to TikTok for entertainment, to see what trends are trendy, and which products are worth buying. Now is the time for Canadian brands and agencies. To join the movement,” TikTok announced.

The Social Network Summit will be a two day event. The first day of the #ForYou Summit will be held on Wednesday, June 1 at Meridian Hall, Toronto, from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Search, meet with creators and even enjoy music shows.

The second day, Thursday 2 June – this time online – will be an opportunity to focus on current trends such as social media commerce, including “TikTok Made Me Buy It”, as well as discuss strategies for success on the platform. TikTok invites you to join us – live and in person – for our first #ForYou Summit: Canada in Toronto, followed by a day of breakout sessions at #ForYouuniverse.

Participation in the summit is by invitation only. However, those interested can still register by filling in the online form for a chance to participate. Registration closes on Monday 30 May. Participants will also have to respect a specific Covid-19 protocol, in particular to be fully vaccinated. TikTok states that it reserves the right to implement other measures at the event, such as wearing masks and testing requirements. – ETX studio
