Basically what we will do is use Google Drive shortcuts to create direct access to last year’s certificate from the mobile home screen.
To do this, we will only have to locate the PDF file with the COVID Passport which we will download from the corresponding health authorization. If you can’t find it, check the download folder on your Android phone, and use your phone’s file explorer.
Once you locate it, you will need to open the Google Drive (Google Cloud) app. If you don’t install it, it will be strange because this app is generally available on all Android phones, download it from Google Play.
In Google Drive, download the PDF file with the COVID certificate by clicking the “+” button. Ideally, it should be uploaded directly to My Files or to a folder that you can easily find later. Once downloaded, we can proceed with creating the direct access.
As you can see in the photo on these lines, the procedure could not be simpler:
- Click on the three dots next to the file name.
- Swipe until you see the “Add to Home Screen” option.
- Then press “Add” or drag the PDF icon wherever you want.
- Return to the home screen of your mobile phone and place the new created icon in the place you prefer.
By following these steps, you will create direct access to the COVID Passport PDF document, which will be available on the mobile home screen.
