Do you know what fear is? Mara Yama Yes. This is a promising start for future sci-fi RPGs developed by Archetype Entertainment.
EXODUS is an Action-RPG video game currently in development by Archetype Entertainment and Wizards of the Coast. More than just a video game, the publisher plans to create an entire franchise based on a dark and dangerous world.

The first trailer was released during The Game Awards 2023, and it allows the player to discover a dark world where humanity is fighting against an alien enemy: the Celestial Orbs (or celestial bodies). The visuals worthy of a AAA game feature travelers, those space travelers, and it's enough to keep you drooling while waiting for more.

After launching Long version From the original trailer, Archetype Entertainment returns today with a dark introduction to a new enemy: Mara Yama. In a fantastic cinematic presentation, we discover the ghost ships of this most dangerous race.
Mara Yama are celestial beings but have mutated and turned into monsters. They hunt humans in order to exploit them and their emotions (fear, cruelty, and other dark emotions). The clip is narrated by none other than actor Matthew McConaughey in his dark, haunting and creepy voice.
In the game, the actor will have a role to play, that of CC Orlev, a character we don't know much about, but who seems to have extensive knowledge about the universe presented in Exodus. Ally, enemy, guide? We'll likely know more by the time the game launches, which is an unknown date.

Along with the game, a novel was also released. Titled Exit: Archimedes' Engine Written by Peter F. Hamilton, it presents an original story set 40,000 years before the events of the video game, which is long enough to wait before the game's release. The book is available in English only.
