We Tested…a Virtual Reality Experience “Tour

Go to the first floor of the Eiffel Tower for a trip back in time. Your mission if you accept it: to rebuild the most famous monument in the world! Using a VR headset, you have twelve minutes to return Paris to the Iron Lady… We've accepted the challenge, and here's what we thought!

What's the matter?

The principle is simple: the experience taking place on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower allows you to take a leap in time…and go back to the 19th century. With only one mission: to try to rebuild the monument piece by piece, in record time. To do this, you must form a team of 2 to 6 players, wear a virtual reality headset and equip yourself with two game controllers and a hat on your head: are you ready to experience the “Eiffel Tower effect”?

Editorial opinion

During twelve frenetic minutes of this immersive game, we experience an interesting, even surprising adventure: being physically on the Eiffel Tower and trying to rebuild it. It takes a few minutes to master the controllers and find your place in this new virtual space, but you quickly gain skill and coordination. This will make it possible to better target “glitches”, which are these floating objects that must be destroyed to rebuild the Eiffel Tower. The experience also requires a bit of concentration: you have to find the right move to move your avatar… without moving too much. Technical yes, but young people will enjoy it.

Some excitement awaits you

To advance in the game, you have to follow the arrows that appear on the ground and are supposed to guide you. Sometimes you have to venture onto a platform or elevator that you have to control. Beware of dizziness! A little stress, a lot of laughter and a lot of encouragement so that the whole team follows the right path. After we get busy with the task, we no longer take the time to think about our surroundings. In order to enjoy the view and beauty of the Eiffel Tower, the experience ends with a virtual flight over the capital… a unique thrill that ends with a view of the illuminated summit. charm.
