WhatsApp: a new look for notifications in iOS

Facebook’s parent Meta is constantly working on the popular WhatsApp messenger to keep users engaged with new features. Just like the competition, the group regularly introduces innovations aimed at improving the experience when using the popular chatbot. Bloggers are usually well informed about upcoming changes WABetaInfo. This time it comes to an update in the field of design. In the future, WhatsApp will display differently on iOS if the user receives a new message on WhatsApp.

WhatsApp notifications in a new look

The new look isn’t stunning, but rather a small upgrade. This first new feature in 2022 is already available in the current beta version (2.22.1.1) of WhatsApp under iOS 15. Innovation: Among other things, profile pictures now appear when there is a notification of a new WhatsApp message. So instead of just a username and a message preview, the iPhone screen also shows the profile picture of the user sending you a WhatsApp message. Anyone who uses the Apple iMessage messaging app already knows it. When new messages are received, this service displays the profile picture of the sender directly in the notification.
