If you spend too much time chatting on your phone, chances are that a good portion of its storage will be taken up by pictures and videos sent by friends and family over the years. Now WhatsApp makes it easy to clear storage from the app.
WhatsApp already had basic functionality to clear stored media, but now you get full data management. If you go to Manage WhatsApp> Settings> Storage and Data> Storage, you will be greeted with a new interface that categorizes items by size and allows you to preview them before deleting files. While maintaining the files you want to keep, you can select multiple items to delete.
The new feature divides media into two categories: files larger than 5MB and “multiple sent files.” Also, WhatsApp will now display a warning when your phone is running low on storage and will ask you to delete some media files.
I, appreciate one feature. Although I was very diligent in clearing the storage on my phone, I had to help my parents so that the Lord knew how many times with all the WhatsApp messages they send; It is a pleasure to have created the feature in the app.
The new functionality is coming out to WhatsApp users worldwide this week.
