Cécile, Anaïs and Marie, three Toucan friends, slept better: it was a friend who was passionate about “traditional balls”, who wanted to make them dresses for the festive weekend. “I found clothes and stripped them of unnecessary accessories to get the perfect outfits,” explain Cécile and Anaïs, comfortable in their old outfits. “We played the game, so we make the most of it,” they swear, watching the children who don’t want to do the same.

Real lace maker

At 15, Abigail ironically takes her workouts seriously. “I’m a lacemaker,” the teen smiles from beneath her white lace headdress. “I must have been three when my grandmother taught me how to lace, and it stuck with me. So I didn’t think twice when my grandmother lent me a skirt and apron that reminded me a lot of the ones lacemakers used to wear,” the teen says excitedly.
