Zotac Zone review: Plenty of monitors with top-notch inputs

Zotac has really done their homework with the area entries, not only in terms of overall quality and location, but also in terms of the number of options available to you.
The D-pad is one of the best you can find in mobile devices today. With superior tactility, and almost mouse-like clicks, it's incredibly satisfying and precise.

The Hall effect joysticks are also smooth, with just the right amount of resistance for precise control. Another feature is the rings that surround the joystick: they act as radial inputs that can be assigned to different functions in the Zotac software. By default, these rings control screen brightness, RGB intensity, or system volume, which worked well during testing, though they don't seem particularly straightforward.

With the triggers (also a Hall effect), Zotac also added a little party trick. For the first time on a mobile device, you can choose between classic analog racing, which allows precise control, for example in racing games, or by pressing a small button, you can switch it into a kind of hot-run mode, ideal when you need instant inputs, In shooting games or in games like Dark Myth: Wukong.

Again, operation feels almost like a mouse and provides the same tactile feel as a d-pad.
