Yesterday morning, there was an attempt to pickpocket in a snowy armored vehicle during the flight from Offenburg to Karlsruhe. Two Moroccan nationals, aged 17 and 25, tried to steal things from a sleeping traveler from a backpack. However, this woke up in time and informed those present on the train. DB employees managed to detain the alleged pickpockets until the train stopped at Baden-Baden station and handed them over to a Federal Police patrol. Both were traveling without a ticket, behaving aggressively towards the officers and refusing to obey instructions. They have already attracted attention beforehand due to their aggressive behavior towards those present on the train and are said to have slapped a DB employee. As part of further police measures, the 25-year-old’s mobile phone was found. Research revealed that he had previously stolen this from a train worker. Asylum seekers registered in Germany were released after police procedures were completed and reports of fraudulent activities, physical abuse and attempted robbery should now be expected.

More and more professional gangsters are moving in train stations and on trains, using different tricks to steal valuables from travelers unnoticed. The perpetrators often work in a well-organised division of labor. Your wallet, credit card, or cell phone is gone in just a few seconds.

     Wertgegenstände immer in verschiedenen verschlossenen
     erreichbar.
